She studied under the guidance of the legendary Spanish academic minimalist architect Alberto Campo Baeza, which profoundly influenced her clean lines and mastery of light. In 2017, she furthered her credentials by earning a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from Moscow Architectural Institute (State Academy).
Her desire to broaden her professional horizons led her to Spain. After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree, Kristina moved to Madrid to study architecture and urban planning at ETSAM (Superior Technical School of Architecture of Madrid) at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM).
Kristina’s work is regularly showcased at prestigious venues such as The Best Office Awards and theBest Interior Festival (BIF). A landmark milestone in her career was her participation in Dubai Design Week, where her project was officially selected by the expert committee to be part of the program.
Kristina’s approach is centered on the exceptional value of detail. She creates "bespoke worlds" where the architecture of a space is inseparable from its contents. A hallmark of her style is the deep integration of custom-made pieces; nearly every project features furniture designed by Kristina in collaboration with top manufacturers.
Today, Kristina Saakyan continues to design spaces that transform the quality of life and work, blending academic precision, European expertise, and a refined artistic vision.
Starting in 2025, Kristina has been actively developing her work in the field of collectible design. This represents a natural progression of her desire to create unique art objects that balance at the intersection
of functionality and pure art.

In 2020, Kristina Saakyan founded KS Architects. The studio specializes in residential and public interiors, architecture, and small architectural forms. The bureau’s portfolio includes clients such as Morgan Stanley, Mubadala, Tinkoff, Renshin, and Innostage.
